Re: FEDERATION SQUARE
As Arthur said it was a great day at Fed Square, after some early spots of rain it soon cleared into a beautifull day and the Venue was excellent.
We met with Paul from Oceanside Thunderbirds, he's over here from Perth for the Hot Rod Show great to put a face to the name, also a very nice guy, shame you had to head off so early Paul would have loved to grab a coffee and have a chat, maybe next year.
Here's some pics, I took a pic of every car that attended which was exactly 20. We even had Sam Newman there in his gorgeous 65 Convertible, For interstate members Sam Newman is an ex AFL Player (300+ Games) turned TV personality as the main man on the AFL Footy Show. Imgserv seems to be having some problems so I'll upload to Photobucket and put a link here.

Hey Arthur,
Check out the following FB sites - I don't think you need to be a FB member in order to view them.
55-57 - https://www.facebook.com/groups/32519493135/
61-63 - https://www.facebook.com/groups/27369730806/
64-66 - https://www.facebook.com/groups/24980807876/
I think that Johnny G T might be administrator for all 3 of these sites.

Hi James, thanks for the links. Unfortunately for us non members we cannot view these sites unless somone knows a way for not up to speed to do so. It is a constant discussion in our household as to whether we join face book or not. The jury is still out. When do I find the time to play in there.

Re : Federation Square
Fantastic display fellas, stylistic cars with happy proud owners , what more could the Ford marketing dept. of 1950's/'60's ask for ? I'm sure they were all appreciated by the passing onlookers.
Well done & it was a real pleasure meeting you all.

Don't worry my wife and I haven't got FB either and I wont after watching all three of my teenage kids hooked on it like a drug and also some of my friends view it while they're driving, way to dangerous. Another form of techno rammed down our throat

Re: FEDERATION SQUARE
I wont, I know it is helpful to some it is anti-social to others. Just the other day I went to 50th and as I was talking to someone my age (48) his phone buzzed and it was a FB message which he gladly read and ignored me. The same thing I see at parties they're all on their mobiles searching their FB and judging people on their profiles. My daughter buys an expensive dress wears it once because some one might recognise it from previous months. They screen their friends and cousins and if they get something better then it's on for young and old.

Hi Guys
The Forum has a facebook page, we use it to attract members Gio keeps it updated with events we are attending. there's a search bar up near the top of the page just type in Thunderbirds Downunder lots of members here have pages and swap info. I had to get my daughter to show me how to use it.
OOPS sorry just realised i'm signed in under Admin been making some changes to the Forum......It's DaveG

FB
Hey guys,
Re FB (Face Book)...take a breath!
I joined last year sometime. Have provided no personal information - not my real name, no photos of myself, nothing about my family. On most communications it is JP or JPTBIRD.
It is all about my car. I have had heaps of fun posting photos of my car and receiving car stuff from others worldwide. What started with baby birds (55-57) has grown to Bullet Birds and Flair Birds. There is no way I would have gotten to enjoy the look and styles of the bigger birds so much if not for this type of 'car' social media.
FB does not automatically mean you have to let the world know when you are sitting on the toilet.
I get it that many kids are obsessed, I have also seen that some of our overseas FB friends get quite passionate about politics and gun laws.
BUT, you don't need to engage in any of this. Stick to your passion - Thunderbirds.
Arthur, I saw your posting earlier this afternoon and I sent you some Friend Request recommendations for you to follow up on. Good on you for having a crack.
Your FB page looks cool. You are now off an running and can use this method to show your car off (or not) as often as you like.

Unless I'm losing it Dave you can only see the como pics? When you click on classic car forums library it says it's a private album. Is that what you were asking ?
