COOLY ROCKS 2013
Hi Guys
I know i'm a bit late with this but been flat out since getting home on Saturday.
Last weekend 22 of us from jets Car Club attended Cooly Rocks at Coolangatta in QLD.
What a weekend, Unbelievable the Cars were just amazing every inch of the main street Marine Parade was taken up with Classic & Custom Iron as were the Back streets and side streets, everywhere you looked, It literally took hours to walk around it all, Approx 2,000 cars had made thier way here and what a spectacle it was when they were cruising thru the closed off streets with people all along the cruise route cheering and waving them on.
The weekend started with us arriving in Cooly on Friday afternoon in 23 degree sunshine following some Jetstar stuffups. Wow what a place Cooly is, this is an event every car nut should attend the place was huming with a huge crowd rolling in and the sounds of the Classics, Customs and Rods rolling thru the streets. Chris (usa6t4) and Allison had organised our accomodation and it was brilliant with the balcony overlooking the cruise route and Marine Parade where cars would start parking up from sunset and taking over Coolangatta until Monday morning. I could go on for hours about how good this event was but I wont, I've been to Summernats and several other major car events but believe me Cooly Rocks is streets ahead. The organization is awesome, I guess after 20 + years they should have it right. I took over 500 pics and did nearly 2 hours of movie Here are just a few of the Rides I liked.

Hi Dave,
All l have heard about Cooly is that it was amazing !
>>> A must do next year.
For me ~ it’s the ‘Cream’ F truck.
Maybe we need to have a ‘Pizza, Beer & Slide’ night to see the other 100’s of cars & movie

Thanx for posting Dave. As partial to US Muscle as I am (and that Pontiac was pretty smick), it was the cream F truck for me too.

It's funny you guys picked the F100, cause Kevin (Spits65bird) stood for maybe 15 - 20 minutes looking at that truck and we both loved it. Just really subtle but so COOL!!!!
