The person I purchased it from( Now deceased) had the trans. rebuilt. I put the car in drive and it won't kick into overdrive. What can this possibly be? Thanks

What year TBird are we talking,

If it is that it wont kick down under acceleration then it's probbably the Kick Down adjustment between the Carb and the trans.

Dont know much about autos but it could be the vacuum modulator valve or the small vacuum hose that its connects to , They aways leak.
