The Ultimate 65 coupe.
Well most of you will know this car (Members Gallery of this Forum) and some of you will know the Owner. Yep it's Spits. Spits65TBird
I personally love this car have from the first minute i saw it. It is without doubt my favourite Ford Thunderbird as much as the apperance I love the mods Kev has done on this car, and I especially love it with it's latest Mod.
This is a first for our Forum maybe even a first in Australia, we now have a BAGGED 65 Thunderbird, yep Kev's just finished fitting a full airbag suspension system to his car. All the work was done at home in his garage, It's not a Lowrider it does not do the bouncy bouncy stuff it's basically height adjustable suspension. when the ignition is in the OFF position the car sits as per the pic Sills are less than 3" from the ground, when the Ignition is on the car lifts up to the driving position as per the second pic and if you encounter some ruff road or a steep driveway you can also raise the car using the buttons on the console, It has the best of all worlds. kev has done a few short runs with the car and tells me it rides better and is smoother than ever before. I get the feeling Kev's will be the first of more to come. mmmmm how do i get this past the minister for finance. Great work Kev she just keeps getting better. Kev's car will be our Car of the Month for August so more pics and detail on the Mods done to this beautifull 65 TBird then.
Pic 1 this pic has a pinkish tinge to the car but it is still white as per Pic 2
This is the Ride height, check the difference of how the body sits over the wheels in Pic 1

Kev,
Great job
>>Boy she looks good, when she sits is she on the "Bump Stops" or "Chassis" ???
I showed my son Shaun - he asked if you have fitted "Grind Plates" - for that late night cruise.
Be careful Kev, it's addictive
