What did you do last weekend?
A few buddies decided we'd take a drive up to Sydney (2,300 klik round trip) to support our pal Stuart's open day.
Stuart does great sheet metal & fabrication.
We left Melbourne around 6:30 am Saturday morning, would have been earlier but somebody (not me) slept in and had to be woken up.
Arrived at the venue about ten hours later, partied the night away, then departed around 3:00pm Sunday arvo, to arrive home at about 1:00am.
Was a great weekend, even if we did whimp out and take the big new limo instead of our hot rods.
There's always someone has too much coffee.
Registered on Saturday morning, Rob's little pickup started as a L300 Mitsubishi Van.
There's a badass LS6 in the pick-up bed.
Since I couldn't fit behind the wheel, I hadda use Dave as my driver, even then it defied the old 'not so sqweezy' theory.
The truck drives, steers and stops perfectly with no bad habits except for a strange loss of traction when the throttle pedal is pressed at 80km'h
Lyn Arrowsmith's '34, an Aussie hot rodding Icon.
Gorgeous!
It was said that the 550+ci Buick making over 800hp in Royden's '28 Buick sedan, is 'Angry'….
…..I'd suggest it's downright 'Feral', some of these folks probably still can't hear anything three days later.
Toyota LiteAce van (Corolla based) is all kinds of wrong, but just right!
Got up at 6:30am on Monday and went to work.
Why do wimmin reckon we're crazy?

Hey Carps, Great post.
Very impressive cars
That V8FB is a sweet ride, the Mitsubishi would be a fun way to get into some trouble, i'm surprised there is any tread on those rear tyres.
I remember I did that trip many years ago with My V8 XU1 on the trailer behind me a mate and i drove non stop on Friday night did Qualifying at Castleraegh on Saturday morning then Raced Sunday left the strip at 5pm and drove straight back to Melb and fronted at work 6am Monday morning, those were the days, Young Dumb and Full of Cum i dont think i could do it now.

The new model 460 Sports Luxury with the trick rear seat, so both passengers could enjoy a massage and supreme comfort.Giobus wrote:So was the it the 600?? if so, which one of your mates enjoyed a 'SHIATSU' massage all the way up to Sydney???
They took turns in the back, only Dale didn't drive, because last time I made him drive my ISF he ended up buying two one for him and one for the Mrs.
The red & white V8 FB is a very, very nice ride.

Re: What did you do last weekend?
Hi there gurls and boys, how about we keep this thread going?
I did some cleaning up in the garage and a little pinstriping, so no photos from me this week.
So, what did you do on the weekend?

Re: What did you do last weekend?
Drove my Camaro. Doesn't sound like much, but after 4 weekends of wrestling with spanners and multimeters, just being able to turn the key, have the engine fire and being able to cruise without any issues.....it was MAGIC !!!!!
Sorry no photos - boring story about a lost camera.
If the weather is half decent, will be at breakfast this Sunday.

Hey Vic, after a long lay up, there's no time to be wasted during the first drive to be stopping to smell the roses or take any photos.
