Hi Guys
It seems things have died off on this Forum.

We had a couple of car builds going (The Kustom Falcon) & (Nachos Impala build) and they just stopped posting so I messaged the guys to ask why and they both said it wasn't worth posting up here because no one comes on this forum, I guess they've got a point. So what do we do just shut down or are there any ideas to boost traffic / membership

I'd like to see it keep going, does anyone have any ideas what we can do to encourage more people to post up here,
I've pretty much tried everything I can think of, including handing out flyers at car shows and attaching a link to this site whenever I post on other forums. Anyway if you've got any ideas...fire away.

Hey Dave,
Hopefully we are nearly through the quietest period of the year.
Our Oz cruising weather is about to crank up.
As all the car guys & gals start attending their favourite car shows (wind & rain has to ease up soon), I would expect we will start to see photos and stories being posted on the Forum and we should be off and running again.
I recall the first week end in Sept (which was warm & sunny) we were all heading to a car show somewhere. It was obvious to see that everyone was excited to be out and about with their prized wheels.
I wouldn't like to see the Forum shut down because I visit it frequently just to see what's up, but I also don't have the answer to getting more traffic.
Maybe we can encourage some of the sponsors to contribute.
As there will be car shows coming up in all points of the compass, perhaps invite / nominate members to take photos and write a short story about the latest car event they attended.
If any Forum member has something to share but is reluctant to post up, perhaps they can PM (private message) you, and then you can post.
Hang in there.

Hi James
Some excellent points there.
Like you i'm keen to see the forum continue, my concern is that we've now had two sponsors walk away because they weren't seeing any traffic, which is fine that really doesn't concern me, we don't really need to be sponsored, these companies had approached me so no big deal, my concern is if the sponsors are seeing the lack of traffic and input then so are the die hard members, these are the people we don't want to lose, but we also need to grow, not quickly but a few new members each year who stick around and contribute.

I guess the concerning thing is  when you look thru the members list and see that so many have joined visited 3 or 4 times then not come back.

I think your idea of encouraging members to get some pics and even do a story about a car show is a good one. As you say I'm more than happy to post up pics or a story for any member if he is not confident or unsure how it all works.

Some very good points from James, does anyone else have any thoughts.

Hi gang, I don't think the forum will die, but sometimes life gets in the way of fun for some folks and there's only so much time can be allocated to forum stuff.

I just posted some stuff that might help or might just bore folks to death and rive them away.

But just because we don't always post stuff, doesn't mean the forum should die, I notioce there's a number of new members and that's a good thing.
On the downside, too many members can sometimes turn a forum into a nightmare and I think there bal;ance here is pretty good so far, so don't panic and let it grow slowly.

Just my 20 cents worth.

Cheers

Carps
