Here is some correspondence that was sent to Jets Car Club
We will be registering as a club, this group have over 10,000 followers on facebook and appear to be there for all car enthusiats regardless of year, make, model or country of origin

I think this can only be a good thing, we need to have a voice when the decisions are made.

Motoring Enthusiasts throughout Australia are coming together to have their voice heard.
For too long we have been maligned by the media, authorities and general public through sensationalism and ignorance. Legislation is being brought in without any consultation with our community, and our rights and civil liberties are being eroded at an ever increasing rate.
Our vehicles are seen as not “green” enough; modified vehicles are seen as unsafe and a menace on our roads; enthusiasts are scared to drive their cars or not starting the next project through fear of victimisation.
The Motoring Enthusiast Community can not stand by and watch this happen, it is time to take action. It is time for car clubs, individuals and businesses to come together to stand up for what we believe in. It’s about protecting our culture for future generations…
There has been a movement happening over the past several months rallying enthusiasts from all genres to unite and have a voice; a successful campaign which has seen inroads being made into Government and Bureaucracy, to hopefully turn the tide before our collective lifestyle and culture goes the way of the dinosaur, legislated out of existence forever…
The next step in our campaign was the formation of our own Political Party…and the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party (AMEP) was formed on the 11 May, 2013 to contest the upcoming Federal Senate. It is about giving Motoring Enthusiasts a voice at the highest level, and it is about sending a strong message to Government that the Motoring Enthusiast Community must be considered and respected.
It is important all Motoring Enthusiasts unite, and we are asking Car Clubs to spread the word…
We have prepared an “Information Pack” for Car Clubs which provides information about the Political Party and the movement that is sweeping the country. If this is something that is of interest to you, please reply with your Club name and postal address and we will post out an “Information Pack” to you.
Kind regards
