Hi Guys,

On another forum I frequent we have a section where you can post a shop or service you have used and any recommendations etc

Example

Panel shops
Trans shops
Auto electricians
Parts suppliers
etc.

Word of mouth and personal experience is always good to hear and it would be a good way of supporting the guys that provide a great service to the automotive enthusiast community Very Happy

As I started the topic I will go first.

I know some of you would've heard of him before but this is my personal experience

Peppers Auto Upholstery (Neil Pepper)

Been in the game a long time, fantastic guy that puts customer service first and does a truly amazing job!! He restored the two bench seats in my wagon and let me make the decisions while offering great advice. His workmanship is second to none and in my opinion at a very reasonable price.

Hey Longroof,

"The Rubber Connection" based in Dandenong has helped me over time for those little bits that you can't wait for from the states & reasonably priced.
Suppliers & Services Rubber10

Stocking correctly moulded weatherseals for doors, windshield and rear windows, roof rails, vent windows and trunk seals etc. * But it’s not just rubber! * We also have scuff plates, antennas, suspension parts, locks, switches, mirrors, door glass runs, beltline weatherstrip kits, lenses, moulding clips, emblems in die-cast and plastic and many other parts and accessories for Ford vehicles of US and Canadian origin. We are authorized dealers for major US parts manufacturers and have a wide range of sources for reproduction, genuine Ford and New Obsolete Stock parts. Reliable contacts in the USA can assist in searching for new and used parts from NOS suppliers and the many auto parts dismantlers. FAQ's often relate to kit prices. These can be accessed from the 'Kit Catalog'.

Also, 'Masters Hardware' is great for those smal automotive fasteners that are hard to come by now days.

With the rest - can't help you as l did my own panel, paint, trim, electrical and mechanical > Sorry.

Thanks Gio, will have to call in sometime and check them out. I am usually shipping stuff from the states about once a month or two but will keep them in mind.

Has anyone got in Melbourne got a windscreen guy they can recommend? I need to replace my windscreen seal, I have considered doing it myself but I am still a little dubious as I don't want to crack it and have to source another haha

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave,

Just gave O'Brien windscreens a call and they quoted me $280 for me to take it in to them and have them replace the seal. This seems excessive to me, can you remember how much you were charged?
