Unique wheels Super Supreme
Hi Guys,
Anyone know if there is an Australian supplier for the above? I can't seem to find anything and thought I should have a look before looking at options from the USA

Re: Unique wheels Super Supreme
Hi Dave,
I gave the number a call and it was their fax line, talk about sending me on a wild goose chase!!
Only kidding. Checked the website and they stock the Halibrand version
Which I am not sure about as they look good in some pics but not in others. I am after the Unique wheels version as seen below, I think they are a much cleaner look.
Some interesting reading here about the history of the supreme, there were some dodgy versions made for a while and there has been cases of the inner seperating from the outter!!!!

I see Johns Riviera is running some in a couple of the pics in the COTM thread, maybe he can shed some light?

Re: Unique wheels Super Supreme
Thanks mate.
Dave, gave them a call and they can get them but have to order them in so you have to wait for next sea freight container to leave USA.
I priced up 15x8 and they were $260+GST each
They have a container leaving in the next couple of weeks but I will wait as I need to spend my $$ on other stuff just now

Re: Unique wheels Super Supreme
Hi Guys
Sorry about the Wild Goose Chase Sam I think it was Cragars I spoke to them about.
That's great Info thanks John I do really like the look of those wheels. I havent seen a car yet that the 5 spokes didn't suit, they give it more of a Custom look and the price is pretty good too, Wheel spacing is going to be my problem, you cant fit much under the back of the TBird and still retain the spats. I think the wheels I've got are 3 x 4 spacing 7 x 15 rims. which aint alot of offset. The Supremes are very similar to the original Dragway wheels that Ian Splatt was making. I had the second set that Ian made on a big block HQ a mate of mine Bob Grambau was also mates with Ian, Bob had the First set made on his 350 EH Holden that was 1973. I'm gonna look for some photo's of these two cars to put up.
I even quite like the Cragars

Yea they suit a lot of cars and with different width/offsets and tyre combos can give different looks.
I am keen to get them as a second set of jandals for the wagon so can switch between them and the current steels/WWW combo I have on there

Re: Unique wheels Super Supreme
That's exactly what I was planning Sam
would have liked to fit all new whitewalls to the new wheels as well but at $300 a pop that makes a full set Rims and Tyres $2300
A lot to have sitting around in the shed. so i might just go with new rims and sell the smoothies.

Re: Unique wheels Super Supreme
Yea I feel your pain mate, my white walls were about $1600, it seems the bigger the white wall the more $$
I was planning on running with a smaller white wall and profile on the supremes which should make the tyre cost quite a bit lower

Yea mine are BF Goodrich with 2 3/4 white wall. Once the bank account recovers it is worth it, cant beat the look of some freshly cleaned wide whites!!!

Yea would be good to see both Cragar models & the Supremes on a TBird to get a better idea,
Maybe some photo shopping needed.

I doubt i could ever recreate that look. I havent got the patience for that much masking.
Probbably not a bad way to get a custom paint job, find a couple of Graffiti artists give them some pressure pack cans blow some clear over it when they've finished. Pro Heart would be envious.

It still too hard to tell , when there on a nother car.
If its chrome it should look good on cars with dark paint work.
