UK Car Scene

Hi All,

Yep, l'm in the UK !!

We, Melissa & l are over here on holidays for the month driving around the whole UK.

Over our journey l will post up pictures of car we see along the way culminating with the 3 day car show event at Enfield where l also hope to meet up with some 'English Thunderbird' owners.

But here's Day 1 ~ Oxford

The only thing going for this thing is it cooked 'PIZZA'

Day 4, in York !

Classic cars are hard to come by here in the UK ! So it's the unusal that stand out.

So heres todays car. A 'Thames' van all dressed up selling ice-creams to the tourists.

It's been a few days but here's a couple of more interesting cars well sort of!!

A vintage 'Vespa Trike Wagon ' even fitted with a towbar

Then a couple of days later the newer model at Edinburgh Castle.

But the new model isn't ad good as the old as it gets towed

While in Edinburgh we took advantage of a classic ~ Old Bus that is !!

It remindered me of the old sitcom dad used to watch ~ 'On the Buses' ~ Butler !!!!!!

The show wasn't my cup of tea, but that was the 'Bay Watch' of the 70's.

We having dinner in the local pub in Stirling this evening and the internet connection is really good here
Here's another car a classic ~ 'FIGARO' in cameleon Red/Orange.
Well, not a real classic but more Retro - built by Nissan in 1989 to replicate the 1960's Datsun Fairlady.

As we were cruising up the motorway this little kit car pull up along side us wanting to take the next exit. As soon as l mentions the car to Melissa, she had the camera out and 'click'.

He looked across, saw the camera and off he went like we were standing still - mind you we were travelling 75mph (on the GPS).

Must of been the STIG in disguise

This was no 1600cc Kent motor in this car ! it was a V8 with a heavy breathing Holley on board that roared into life and GONE
