Venetian Blind (Rear Window Glass Wanted)
Hi Guys
I contacted Bill our member in S.A. about the venetian blinds, unfortunately with workload etc, he's unable to get to the place where they make the blinds, so I think from memory the manufacturer told me he could make them from a rear Window if we could get him one, so I'm looking for a rear window, firstly for a 64 - 66 as that's the largest numbers we have, then we will follow with the 61 - 63 so if you have one or know where I can get one please contact me, Cheers Dave

Hey guys
Looks like no one knows where we can get a rear window so I'll try the guy that wrecks TBirds in bayswater tomorrow. He charges like a wounded bull tho.

Have you tried Bob’s classic auto glass in California? I'm looking at getting a full set of glass from him for my 60. He is the cheapest that I have found. He doesn't ship internationally though, that’s the only problem.

Hi Platon
Now that is thinking outside the box, I contacted Matt and it's being painted with the back glass in.
Good thinking tho. Cheers mate.

It may be "Template Time"
Evening Dave,
It seems that the glass is hard to come by
How about we do it anther way> make a template for each model we need.
From the outside, firstly make a cardboard/paper template of the glass shape. Then transfer it to a piece of plywood say, 3-6mm thick and cut it out.
Then with some pine 75 x 19mm, wider if needed > mark & cut out the shape of the glass across the length of the window. This will then generate the contour of the glass.
Combine the two with 'Glue & Screws' and we have a "Shaped Template" of the back window
These will be easier /safer to ship to Adelaide and we can make one for each model family as long as we have a car to work from.
Just name a date & l get the tools out

Yeah good plan Giovanni
I think that might have to be the process. I'll give you a call on the weekend.

Re: Venetian Blind (Rear Window Glass Wanted)
The venetian blind saga continues.
I've just spoken to a guy here in Melbourne who does Venetian Blinds, but again he wants a rear window to work from, I offered up my car as a template but he wants a rear window out of a car.
so does anyone have a rear window from a 64, 65, 66 I'll drop it over to the guy so it's not going on transport.
If we can get the Flairbird blinds made then we'll do the bullet bird, So again if anyone has a rear window I can borrow please let me know.
He has the squarebird blinds ready made in stock if anyone is interested.
