How lucky am l ??
Evening All,
Just got back from Tassie
While driving from Burnie, Devonport, Launceston & Hobart l passed a Supercheap Store.
Like any bloke, l had to stop & have a look.
Well - how luck am l, as l strolled past each row l came to the 'Fuel Caps' section and what was on the shelf the only OLD STOCK item, a new Fuel Locking Cap that suited both Thunderbirds & Mustangs.
Even better, only 50 Cents - Yes 50 Cents.
Yes it now resides on my car.

Got too Cocky to Early!!
Hi All,
I got too COCKY the other night
After a bit more research, the Locking Fuel Cap suits 1965 models up.
The filler neck is smaller on 64 models.
So for any of you guys out there with a 1965 - 66 model Thuinderbird > its yours
First to PM me gets it.

OK, thanks to the extra generosity of Giobus I now have this cap, it arrived this morning.
BUT it doesn't fit a '66 T-bird either!!
At a guess it looks about 1-2mm too large in diameter but worse, the two fixed lugs that engage the slots in the filler neck are too wide, without actually measuring them it appears by at least 2-3mm. So, if anybody knows what it DOES fit and wants the cap I'll post it to them!
