Discs for a 64 Empty Discs for a 64

Post  OldnSlo Tue Mar 20, 2012 5:44 pm

Hi everyone, does anyone know where I can get disc brakes to fit my 64 Thunderbird, either 65 or 66 or an aftermarket kit. I went sailing thru an intersection on Sunday with the pedal on the floor, got the car flat topped home. Any help appreciated. Cheers OnS

Hi there, have you tried Barry Haley, I'm sure he has the kits. He's in Keilor and sells all T-Bird parts. His phone no is 03 9331 6867. Good Luck. Spits 65 Bird

Discs for a 64 Empty Disc brakes for '64s

Post  usa6t4 Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:18 pm

Hi Oldnslo, I got adisc brake kit for my '64 from Angelo Parsakis 0418196400, who lives out Melton way. He brings kits, wheels, cars, boats etc, etc. Has had T'birds and knows what he is talking about. The kit cost about $1200 and another$800 to fit atDarren Plier's in Moorabbin. (Darren said that he was surprised that the kit had improved so much since the last one he'd fitted). I think the ideal way to go would be a front end from a '65, but there could be a lot of work in restoring it. Chris USA6T4
