Shipping from the States

Post  Giobus on Tue May 01, 2012 9:12 pm

Evening All,

Just got my last (hopefully) shipment from the States and boy was l "Shitched Up"

A little box more stuffing than product ~ 3 items:
Steering Column Boot,
Mirror Remote Bezel,
Vent Window to Window Glass Tip Seal

The whole box weighed 600grams & 280 x 280 x 100 mm.

So how much for shipping ?????

$135

So remember, ensure the you read the detail > there is a difference between UPS & USPS, and the shipping time wasn't much better

Expensive lesson

Rule No 1
Don't use Urgent in your email to get there attention.

The service has dropped off as they move into the their Summer season.

and No - communication was not their strong suit, they don't read detail.

It was my mistake, l didn't confirm as l thought the partpackage would be smaller & lighter.

Lifes leasons.

Oh mate
That sucks, the annoying part is you have nothing tangeable to show for that money. I was the same I had my Air Conditioner Classic Auo Air shipped and it ended up costing $800 the whole kit was only $1200. I wasn't too impressed. it pays to do the homework I guess.

shipping from the states

I think every one has a storey about the terrible cost of shipping i have many myself . I can only say they know what it costs you and they really dont care they have your money these costs are yours not theres . I found an answer for me i have a freind in San Francisco . i ship every thing to him he repackages it condensing down to a realistic size to send to Aus or put in cars for me . Some times it just posting thru USPS saves cash to , it pays to ask parts supplier they can do it if they want , as long as box dosn`t go over i think it was 40 inches = length+ girth . also large box 12inch x 12inch x 6 inch high is about $55 to $60 no heavier than 20lbs .
