DaveG's Garage Empty DaveG's Garage

Well here's some pics of my Garage, Our house is not big no where for me to hide and those who have Daughters will understand why i did this, I am the only man in the house and more often than not my daughters friends would come over making an ungodly racket, so I needed a man cave. that's how this all started, It was a standard 6mt x 6mt colourbond Garage, I built 2 extensions, 1 on the side (my workshop) and 1 on the back (Bar and Storage area). When I decided to build it I wasn't going to play with cars any more, that was until the bug struck again and I picked up the Tbird, I did the whole rebuild other than the Colour coats of paint in this Room, Yes I do have an understanding wife.

Hi Giovanni
Mate the Pool Table gets the flick outside and the TBird goes in. Spanners get twirled in there depending on what the job is of course, The engine's coming out in July to completley re-do the engine bay, lots of hole welding and hiding wiring etc, so that'll have to be done in the carport which can be all closed in so still secure & out of the weather. Di's understanding only stretches so far.

DaveG's Garage Empty Engine Rework, Dave

Post  Giobus Tue Apr 24, 2012 12:32 pm

Afternoon Dave,

Well that will get the carpet dirty - better 'Scotch Guard' it first.

>> So are we going Full Custom ~ Chip Foose style???? or is it going to be big HP ?? 400, 500, 600 HP??

Rule No. 1 ~ Engage the full support of the Financial Controller > I think a lovely candle light dinner is firstly required.

Giovanni Very Happy

The flooring in there is a laminate click style so it's pretty hardy and easy to clean. But i think pressure washing in there might be going a bit far.

If only I could do a Foose on her, Do it like the Green 65 Roadster no roof at all. (Not in Melbourne).

one of the guys in TOCA Vic whose also a member here Simon has got a Red 61 that he's just done the engine bay on, It looks fantastic, I took some pics of it down at Phillip Island, I'll post them up when I get home. That's what I'm aiming for. No engine Mods just some chrome and Full Gloss 2 pak engine bay hide everything I can, then fill all holes.
I've done the candelight dinner thing to death over the last 30+ years, she knows I'm after something Laughing . Cheers Dave.

Yeah, I saw Simon's car too at the Island, really sparkles. Might be the addition of a roll of silver foil on the underside of the hood that did that? Wonder if his wife realizes it's missing? ha ha, just kidding. cyclops
